A beautiful solidus of Constantius II with a very attractive reverse type

Constantius II, 337-361. Solidus (Gold, 22 mm, 4.61 g, 6 h), Thessalonica, 337-340. FL IVL CONSTAN-TIVS P F AVG Laurel-and-rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius II to right. Rev. VIRTVS EXERCITVM / TES Constantius, in military attire, standing front, head to left, holding trophy on spear in his right hand and placing his left on shield set on ground; on either side, captive. Depeyrot 4/6 corr. (two captives not one). RIC 34 var. (bust pearl-diademed). An attractive example of this interesting issue with a lovely reverse. A few very minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
